The Fifth Annual Anita Houston Memorial Lecture was held in the Lamb Room of the Library on November 17th, co-sponsored by the UN Committee of New Canaan and the New Canaan Library.  The more than 150 attending heard from Alex Prud'homme, journalist and author of "The Ripple Effect: The Fate of Fresh Water in the 21st Century", that fresh water will shortly surpass energy and global warming as our most urgent issue worldwide."
